Shopify Plus Migration for Jasco Products Company

Project Background

Jasco Products Company, a well-established leader in the smart home and consumer electronics space, partnered with Sunrise Integration to future-proof their ecommerce operations by migrating their digital storefronts—ByJasco.com and EnbrightenMe.com—to Shopify Plus. The project aimed to unify Jasco’s D2C and B2B experiences into a single, scalable platform that would improve customer engagement, streamline backend operations, and better support the company’s growth. With the addition of a third Shopify site to support a specialized brand, Jasco sought a modern solution that could meet their diverse requirements, from marketing and merchandising to ERP synchronization and employee access.

Design Summary

Jasco was facing several critical roadblocks that limited their digital agility. Their existing Magento-based tech stack was outdated and inflexible. It was difficult for them to respond quickly to marketing needs or customer behavior insights. Managing two ecommerce sites on legacy systems introduced friction in maintaining consistent design, performance and user experience. Jasco needed a fresh design and a site overhaul if they were going to grow. The Sunrise Integration design team was excited to take on the challenge.

A new design and platform meant performing a complex data migration to Shopify. This transformation would consolidate historical customer, product, and order data across both properties. And of course, they wanted it all without losing important records or SEO rankings.Jasco also required integration between Shopify and their internal ERP system, Infor A+, to ensure accurate product, pricing, and order data. Similarly, their marketing team depended on HubSpot CRM and needed a reliable sync to power ongoing campaigns. On the frontend, mobile performance and UX were key pain points, and internal operations demanded a secure SSO solution to allow employees to log into a dedicated Shopify storefront using their corporate Entra ID credentials.

Project Results

Sunrise Integration tackled the project with a comprehensive, multi-phase approach, starting with in-depth design and tech discovery workshops. These sessions help us to understand Jasco’s operational goals, customer personas, and brand strategy. The workshops informed both technical planning and the design strategy for all three Shopify stores. Our team guided theme selection, recommended optimized information architecture, and laid the groundwork for scalable site design, ensuring accessibility, ADA compliance, and mobile responsiveness.

A robust data migration was executed to move all critical customer, order, and product data from Jasco’s previous Magento platform. Additional content, such as manuals and PDFs, were uploaded to Shopify’s CDN to ensure fast load times and media organization. To protect Jasco’s SEO performance, Sunrise Integration performed a full SEO audit and mapped legacy Magento URLs to new Shopify equivalents using strategic 301 redirects, minimizing disruption to search rankings and traffic.

On the backend, we implemented integrations with both Infor A+ and HubSpot. Using Workato as an iPaaS solution, we built data pipelines that synchronized inventory, customer records, orders, and fulfillment statuses in real time between Shopify and Infor A+. For CRM automation, the official HubSpot-Shopify app was leveraged to sync customer and order data, enabling Jasco’s marketing team to create segmented and automated email flows based on real purchase behavior.

One of the standout technical features of this project was the creation of an SSO system for Jasco’s internal employee store. Using Shopify Multipass and Microsoft Entra ID, we built a secure login flow where employees could sign in using their corporate credentials. Tagged appropriately in Shopify, employees could access exclusive products or pricing, enhancing the internal shopping experience while enforcing access controls.

From a customer-facing standpoint, Sunrise Integration redesigned the full user experience across all sites with a focus on usability, storytelling, and conversion optimization. Page layouts were built directly within the Shopify admin, incorporating brand elements, video content, and SEO-friendly metadata. Checkout flows were enhanced with a custom charitable giving solution using a hybrid of off-the-shelf apps and custom UI extensions—supporting Jasco’s commitment to philanthropy.

Training and enablement were a critical part of our engagement. Our team hosted live virtual sessions with Jasco’s ecommerce team to walk through new workflows, app integrations, and Shopify admin best practices. We also delivered full documentation to support long-term maintenance and scalability.

Success Points

Jasco Products now operates on a robust and flexible Shopify Plus foundation that supports both D2C and B2B business models across three distinct storefronts. The migration improved mobile performance, enabled faster site updates, and empowered internal teams with more control over merchandising and marketing efforts. The Infor A+ integration ensures accurate real-time data sync for operations and fulfillment, while HubSpot connectivity drives smarter, personalized campaigns.

SEO rankings were preserved thanks to proactive audits and redirect strategies, and the addition of SSO functionality allows employees to seamlessly access a dedicated store without compromising security. The new charitable giving checkout feature also helped Jasco align their ecommerce experience with their corporate values.

With a fully optimized Shopify Plus infrastructure in place, Jasco is now well-positioned to scale, iterate, and innovate as their customer base and product offerings grow.
