Niky’s Sports has been the heart of Los Angeles’ soccer community since opening its first store in 1986. What began as a single shop in the Westlake district has grown into a family-owned retail chain of 8 stores across Southern California. The brand is recognized as one of the first authorized soccer retailers in Los Angeles, offering professional-level cleats, team kits, fan gear, and training equipment to players and fans who live for the game.
As their business expanded, Niky’s Sports found that their outdated point-of-sale (POS) system could no longer keep up. The legacy software lacked unified inventory with their online store and made it difficult to offer modern shopping experiences like buy-online-pickup-in-store (BOPIS) or store transfers. They needed a reliable, centralized solution that could simplify daily operations and deliver accurate real-time data across all locations.

The new setup empowered store associates to provide faster service including checking inventory across stores, sending orders and completing BOPIS orders directly from the POS. Shopify’s unified system simplified operations between stores. In-store staff can receive new shipments, update stock counts, and ensure inventory matches.
