At Sunrise Integration, we believe in giving back to the community and helping others through our Sunrise Gives program. This month, we donated to the Friends In Deed Food Pantry program to help those who are affected by the suspension of their SNAP benefits due to the current government shutdown.
Due to the current government shutdown, the SNAP benefits program is not providing food assistance to those in need. Nearly 42 million Americans rely on SNAP benefits including individuals here in our Los Angeles area. At the time of writing this, it is unknown when the shutdown will end, thus many are going without food. We wanted to help our local community and bring relief to those affected by the SNAP suspension. Friends in Deed is a great organization serving our local Pasadena community.
Sunrise Integration has provided a monetary donation to the Friends in Deed Food Pantry to help stock the pantry with food for those who need assistance. The Food Pantry is set up like a neighborhood market where anyone can come in and select their own groceries. In addition to providing shelf stable foods like canned goods, dry goods, juice, and cereal, the Food Pantry also strives to provide meat & protein, fresh fruits & vegetables.

Friends in Deed was started in 1960 by Mara Moser as way to help the local Pasadena community. The program has been going strong ever since with support and donations from the community.
As a local Pasadena-based business, Sunrise Integration is proud to support The Food Pantry and hopes those in need can feed their families. If you or someone you know needs food assistance, please visit The Food Pantry for help. Friends In Deed is located at 444 E. Washington Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91104 (on the SE corner of Washington & Los Robles). Anyone in need can come inside and pick the items they want for that week.
